⭐ This Single Barrel is one of our first selections from Copper & Cask but still a delicious one nonetheless! The Mashbill is 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% MB, so you can definitely notice the high-rye profile when tasting it, among plenty of other flavors. Copper & Cask is one of my favorite brands because of their incredible value! A 5 Year Single Barrel bottled at Cask Strength of this quality and price is hard to beat! 🔥
⭐ Tasting Notes -- On the Nose, I get a good amount of Sweet Leather and Tobacco but blended in nicely with decadent Brown Sugar, Caramel and Toffee notes. The Palate starts off somewhat fruity with Red and Black Cherries, then moves into layers of Rye Spice and Malted Rye. The sweeter notes on the midpalate are Brown Sugar, Maple Syrup and Caramel which ends with some Tobacco notes and White Pepper. The Mouthfeel is Juicy and Crisp. There's a brightness to it which is a fun contrast to the creamy or rounder bourbons. Having a 36% Rye Mashbill, it definitely leaves a lingering Rye Spice on the finish. 🤤
